Colleges
There are many colleges and universities that have engineering programs. Many of these have online resources that can be beneficial to the professional engineer.
A web site like All Engineering Schools can be helpful in locating a school with engineering programs.
One of the best sites I have seen for locating a college or university with an engineering program is TryEngineering.org. TryEngineering.org is a resource for students, their parents, their teachers and their school counselors. It is a portal about engineering and engineering careers. Their “Become an Engineer” section is very useful for those looking to get into the field. Their “University Finder” is very well done; it is able to locate institutions with engineering programs around the world.

For preparing to take the professional engineering tests, many colleges and universities offer specific exam preparation courses. Sometimes these courses are a part of their “continuing education” or “professional development” curriculum. These “refresher” courses are often offered during the evening or weekend, and in some cases online versions may be available. An example are the courses offered by the Illinois Institute of Technology.
