TheProfessionalEngineer.com was started in November 2007 to provide the professional engineering community with a web site to present information of interest, provide links to pertinent industry and government web sites, and to allow for discussion of topics of interest to this community.
The author has been a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois for over ten years. He has been working in the Electrical & Computer Engineering field for over twenty years. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi (the Engineering Honor Society). He is a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He is also a City of Chicago Registered Energy Professional.
