Engineering, Go For It!

eGFIHave you ever seen the acronym “eGFI”?  What does eGFI stand for?   Some sort of special electrical socket?  No – “eGFI” evolved from the name of the first 3 editions of a magazine: Engineering, Go For It!.

Today, eGFI refers to several integrated components of the eGFI brand: the new interactive eGFI website, the 4th edition of the eGFI magazine, the teacher and student e-newsletters and eGFI poster

eGFI is not just for students. 

From the interactive website to the colorful and inspiring print and digital magazine, there is something for everyone–students, K-12 teachers and informal educators, parents and guardians, and anyone else with an interest in engineering.  

The 5th edition of the eGFI magazine be published in 2011 (the eGFI magazine is published bi-annually).

Teachers can visit http://teachers.egfi-k12.org/ to find lesson plans, class activities, info on K-12 outreach programs, and pointers to web resources.  Teachers can also sign up for a weekly email newsletter.
