October 2009 Exam

So October is here, and thus the fall exam dates loom ever closer.  If you are preparing for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and/or the Principals and Practice of Engineering (PE). exam, the dates October 23 & 24, 2009 are no doubt your focus – your “D-Day”.

The PE exams are only administered twice a year (April & October), and several of the PE exams are only offered in the fall, such as:

  • Agricultural
  • Control Systems
  • Fire Protection
  • Industrial
  • Mining and Mineral Processing
  • Nuclear Petroleum

If you are preparing for the exam this month, you will want to use the final days before the test effectively.   Make sure you are focusing on studying in “high payoff” areas – subjects that you need the refresher in and that will be applicable to your main subject area.  Now is the time that you have all of your reference books, calculators, and other items you will need on the day of the test.  Take the time out to review our TEST STRATEGY one more time.

Also, make sure you have all of your logistical arrangements in place – transportation, parking, lodging, etc.  It may be good to familiarize yourself with the exam location in advance, so that you are not late in arriving on the exam day.

If you are not taking the test this fall, now is the time to start planning for taking the exam(s) in April 2010.

And if you are taking the exam this month, why not plan to do something fun the day after the test?  You deserve it!

Best Wishes!
